Laura and Forrest married on March 8th, 2024 at Edinburgh West right outside of Greenville, South Carolina. The venues European look nestled within the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains balanced the couple’s chic style with a sentimental nod to the place they call home.
The bride, who was a former Miss North Carolina, is no stranger to formal gowns. Selecting her wedding dress was one of her most important decisions, as she knew she did not want to feel like she was in a pageant on her wedding day. Her trip to Kleinfelds in New York City was certainly a success as not a dry eye was left when she walked down the aisle to her groom in a dashing tuxedo. The couple opted out of a traditional wedding party and instead had their best friends sit in the front row to watch them say their I Dos! The ceremony was held inside the grand greenhouse style hall draped in white florals, lush greens, and hints of disco balls foreshadowing the evening ahead.
As the reception was in full swing, a mobile cigar bar arrived and delighted the guests as they enjoyed the mountain air but little did they know one more surprise was left for the evening. The bride’s parents had one trick up their sleeve, and Laura, who is an alum of Clemson University was certainly shocked when she saw none other than The Tiger – the mascot for the beloved university! The guests welcomed this ‘wedding crasher’ with open arms and danced the night away in the heart of South Carolina’s Upcountry.
